As we gradually took off our rose-colored glasses -> and learned patience
Do you remember the feeling when you started something of your own? When you put all your energy, time, and especially high expectations into it? We do.
When we were creating our handcrafted wooden products and wanted to go out into the world, we were full of enthusiasm and wearing huge rose-colored glasses. We believed it would happen quickly, that people would react immediately, and that it would be an instant success.
But as it usually goes, reality taught us something else. We began to see that the journey is about patience. That success doesn't appear overnight and that you have to persevere even in those moments when it is slow, and maybe even a bit frustrating. Patiently building piece by piece. Never stopping to create, explore, and learn.
The more we look at it, the more we realize that it's actually not a bad thing. That slow growth teaches us perseverance, trust in ourselves, and in what we do in our workshop. And that is why we admire everyone who has walked this path before us. Those who didn't give up and kept going despite the difficulties.
- Did you feel the same way?
- When did you take off your rose-colored glasses and start looking at things a bit more realistically?
- What helped you to persevere?
- Or conversely, when did you feel like throwing in the towel?
Let's be honest – the small business journey is often difficult, but when we talk about it, we can help and motivate each other.
So if you feel like it, write in the comments how you see it, what gives you strength, and what helps you move forward.
We will be happy if you share your story. Yours, WoodenBotanery
